Brent A. Rudolph
Michigan Department of Natural Resources Social Science Coordinator and Wildlife Research Specialist
Lansing, MI
I serve as Social Science Coordinator and Wildlife Research Specialist for the Michigan DNR. My work examines topics such as hunter recruitment/retention, hunter/trapper compliance, economic contributions of wildlife-related recreation, and wildlife governance and trust in government. I also work on some more traditional wildlife research, particularly regarding wildlife disease and deer ecology and management. I am responsible for the integration of research and management applying both social and biological science, and advising senior administrators on development of policies, regulations, and public engagement.
